Well Bottom Shape Compatibility Dimple

The VP 530C Maximum Reagent Reservoir at the right was designed to hold the maximum volume a precious reagent with a minimum waste in the bottom of the reservoir. The reservoir was also designed to fit on the deck of a Beckman FX robot using the standard Beckman plate holder and the longest Beckman pipet tips (reservoir depth = 37 mm). We made the reservoir "oversized" on the top to increase the holding volume (700 ml) and undercut the bottom so it would fit in the standard 127.7 mm by 85.5 mm SBS foot print plate holders on the FX. Out side dimensions are 190.3 mm by 115.3 mm and 54.3 mm tall.

All of the reservoirs can be customized with partitions for control wells or inlet and outlet connectors. The VP 530C to the right was customized with quick disconnect fittings that seal when disconnected. The Inlet is place high in the reservoir wall and the outlet at the bottom of the reservoir to facilitate the exchange of reservoir liquids.
