VP 581R-HL - Robotic Deck Adapter for Hamilton Multiflex Microplate Carrier

VP 581R-HL is a SBS-sized microplate adapter with microplate holder on top, straight sides and 4 holes for attaching to the support legs of a Hamilton Multiflex microplate carrier. When using a V&P 384 Well Microplate Magnetic Bead Separation Block VP 771G-4AM-1 it is recommended that the Registration Base is used with the MagSep Block in order to register the microplate wells to the magnets. The weight of the Separation Block with Registration Base is such that the standard plate holder on a Hamilton Multiflex microplate carrier cannot hold MagSep Block in a secure position for accurate pipetting. This can be an issue when removing liquid from a magnetic bead pellet that may be in close proximity to the pipette tip, such as in a 384 well plate. V&P Scientific developed the adapter, VP 581R-HL, to hold the VP 771G-4AM-1 securely in place on a Multiflex microplate carrier. The adapter replaces the microplate holdert of the carrier and provides a tight-fitting SBS pocket for the Magnetic Bead Separation Block.
