Job Description

This position will be primarily responsible for assisting the production process and supporting the lab by

Working in a production environment assembling mechanical laboratory devices such as magnetic bead separation devices, pin tools for robotic applications
Running quality checks on all incoming/outgoing products
Assembling equipment according to SOP’s and schematics correctly

Technical Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required

Requires excellent hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, high efficiency, and ability to follow process instructions
Knowledge of hand tools, tweezers, and other light machinery
Knowledge of measuring instruments such as calipers, and scales
Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment to meet quality and quantity quotas
Experience using diagrams or drawings, and follow other written or verbal instructions
Able to quality check finished products and send unsatisfactory items to rework
Basic math may be required for computing quantities and simple addition and subtraction for counting parts
Requires excellent manual dexterity, ability to work with small components and hand tools, and a keen eye for detail and quality
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
A strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team

Basic Job Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Some college preferred
Prior assembly or operator experience preferred
