The system will give you a fast and efficient way to screen, replicate, or assay numerous specimens or substances. Our replication system will reduce your labor, increase your throughput and save you money. Although our Replicators are known by many names (Frogger, Dotter, Gridder, Hedgehog, Stamper, Spotter, and Pin Tool), you will find them very useful in the transfer of liquids from one microplate to another or in gridding out macro arrays. Our MULTI-BLOT™ replicators come in 48, 96, and 384 pin arrays and are capable of precisely transferring from 20 nl to 5 ul with the large variety of pins we have to choose from. When used with our microplate registration accessory, the Library Copier™ (VP 381 series) the pins are precisely registered to the center of the microplate wells and can be used to reformat libraries from 96 to 384 well formats and visa versa. When used with the Colony Copier™ (VP 380 series) they can be used to make high-density colony arrays on nutrient agar in Omni Trays or high-density blots on membranes. This method also greatly simplifies making one or a hundred copies and it is very rapid. The Replicator pins are made from durable stainless steel and are quickly sterilized by alcohol/flame or bleach procedure for rapid turnaround between master plates.
